The northern side of Ajman Creek is home to the new Al-Zorah coastal development, which mixes luxury villa residential neighborhoods with beachfront hotel resorts and recreational facilities, including a golf course and yacht marina. For visitors not staying in the resorts here, though, the Al-Zorah Nature Reserve is the main attraction of a visit. This protected area of mangrove forest covers roughly two kilometers and is an important habitat for migratory birds, including flamingos.
